How do I get access to Lexis Thru Jenkins
  1. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions put forth by Jenkins Law Library and LexisNexis by clicking on the Lexis Thru Jenkins Terms & Conditions button located at the bottom of this page.
  2. On the next screen - First Time? - download Jenkins Remote Access Software. If you have a firewall enabled, you may need to change the settings to allow downloading of a file with an exe extension. Please note that this software is only available for Windows and is not compatible with Macs.
  3. Sign in using your last name and Jenkins membership number. Your Jenkins membership number is the one to five digit number located directly under your name on your membership card. This system is case sensitive and your last name must be entered in title case with the first letter capitalized. If you are a Jr., or a II, include this as part of your last name. For example: Smith; McDonald; O'Connor; Cohen, III; Jones, Jr.

Warning: After you enter your last name and member number and click OK, you must wait until you get to the Lexis search screen before signing-off or closing your browser. If you do not sign-off properly, you may lose your remaining time. It is recommended that you use the timer box in the lower right hand corner to properly sign-off Lexis Thru Jenkins.
  4. If all licenses are being used, you will receive a message with an estimated wait time asking if you want to be notified when a license is available. If you select yes, the sign-in box will pop up when it is your turn.
  5. When the Lexis screen appears, note the timer box in the lower right hand corner showing the amount of time you have to use this system.
  6. If you finish your research before 20 minutes, sign-off immediately (remember to use the timer box in the lower right hand corner to properly sign-off). The remaining time will be available to you if you need to use Lexis Thru Jenkins later in the day. Once you have been logged in for 18 minutes you will receive a warning that your time is almost up.
  7. Lexis Thru Jenkins Desktop Shortcut
Once installed, Jenkins Remote Access Software will place a shortcut on your desktop. Use this shortcut the next time you want to login to Lexis Thru Jenkins.
